Hi
Wow it's been busy times over here at CPlay!
Last time we sent an email update, we were gearing up to thank you all for supporting CPlay with a big party in the playground. It was fantastic to see our community come together, enjoy some live music, games, chocolate wheel and free sausage sizzle. Thank you to everyone who dressed up warm and came along, and to all those who helped us host the free event.
Big thank you to some of our recent donors who have helped us raise about $2.5 million through the community, businesses, grants and council funding.
The Timaru Distrcit Council has made a $1.03m contribution to the CPlay project, and is helping with drainage issues, funding applications, accounting, liability, and procurement.
Further support from Alpine Energy with $10,900 being added to the $5000 they donated last year.

Where we are at
There's been quite a few tasks to work through, to get the project ready for the physical works.
This has involved our committee and the wide range of suppliers and contractors working together to discuss, plan and co-ordinate things like ground preparation, surfacing, landscaping, play equipment etc to finalise design, budget and timing.
As you can imagine with our voluntary group and all the same interruptions many are experiencing in recent months, this all takes time, but we are closing in on having the details we need.
We are also investing the time necessary now, to maximise the design of the new place space as best we can within budget and with the community at the front of our consideration.
We aim to give you another update in a few weeks.
